Gloria
Choreographer and Coordinator
Gloria Esposito, the coach/choreographer of the Chicago Rush Dancers is no newcomer to dance, professional dance, arena football or the Chicago Rush. She began dancing at age 5 and hasn’t stopped since.
During her tenure with the Chicago Luvabulls, which began in 1999, she served as the squad’s captain her last two years as well as a dance instructor for the junior dance team. Being a member of the Luvabulls team afforded her two opportunities to travel overseas to Amsterdam for basketball tournaments. While a member of the Luvabulls, Esposito auditioned for the Chicago Rush dance team during the team’s 2001 inaugural season. Her strong dance background and experience with the Luvabulls helped her advance within the Rush organization to become a captain of the squad in 2002 and from 2004 through 2006, the head captain. During that time she was involved with the Adrenaline Rush Jr’s program and did choreography for both the Jr. ARD and the Adrenaline Rush dance team.
2004 was a special year for Esposito as she was selected to the All Star Dance Team for the Arena Football League. That All Star Dance Team performed at the ArenaBowl in Phoenix that year. By 2007 as the assistant director of the Adrenaline Rush Dancers, Esposito and the Adrenaline Rush Dance team went overseas as the first arena football team dance squad to be invited to visit and entertain U.S. military troops based in Kosovo.
Esposito was named coach/choreographer of the Adrenaline Rush Dancers in 2009; a position which she still holds today but while the AFL league took a break, she continued dancing and building her dance resume. During that time, she choreographed the Niles North High School Varsity state competition routine as well as the Villa Park Youth Football dance/cheerleading team. 2012 was also an exciting year where she and the Adrenaline Rush Dancers were asked to perform at Country Thunder with the Big Kenny and Cowboy Troy of Big and Rich during their Electric Country Show. She also was selected to Coach/Choreograph for the 2012 AFL Net10 Dream Team at the AFL’s 25th Arena Bowl held in New Orleans.
And if that weren’t enough dance, Esposito dances with a group called the Brooze Brothers, which performs throughout the Chicago area at corporate events and street festivals. Additionally, she’s been part of Wynning Teams LLC, a company that holds dance conventions for girls who want to learn how to audition for professional dance teams. Esposito teaches competition level routines while girls also get information about etiquette, hair, makeup, etc.
Esposito has continued to develop her craft and expand upon her passion for dance by attending Pro Dance conventions in Las Vegas, Miami, Palm Springs and Dallas. She’s also kept current and learned choreography and style while attending the All Pro Dance convention in Chicago. All of these dance kudos and Esposito still holds a full time position in Human Resources with a company based in Downer’s Grove.
